Safety Alert - Earthmoving Equipment |

 Workcover has issued a safety alert outlining measures to eliminate or minimise risks relating to the operation of earth moving equipment.
This safety alert is published following the investigation of a fatality that occurred when an excavator tipped over whilst working in a creek, landing with the side door face down to the creek bed. Although the excavator was fitted with a side door and three emergency exits, the operator was not able to escape from the machine.
