ISAAC & NAAA are Industry Bodies committed to the improvement of safety and professionalism. The introduction of Tree Climbing Competitions into Australia 11 years ago has provided us with opportunities that deliver these benefits and more.
In March 2009 we are offering a two day event in Parramatta NSW that includes a tree climbing workshop on the Friday and a reduced format competition on Saturday.

Workcover has issued a safety alert outlining measures to eliminate or minimise risks relating to the operation of earth moving equipment.
This safety alert is published following the investigation of a fatality that occurred when an excavator tipped over whilst working in a creek, landing with the side door face down to the creek bed. Although the excavator was fitted with a side door and three emergency exits, the operator was not able to escape from the machine.
Due to the repeal of the Rivers and Foreshores Improvement Act (1948), there are some Qs & As in relation to the new legislation. The following link is especially useful in terms of exemptions and requirements.
